Gunhild Stordalen is a driving force in linking climate, health, and sustainability. She is the Founder and President of the EAT Foundation, which aims to improve nutrition and food safety, and address global health and environmental challenges through the stimulation of interdisciplinary research. In 2011, together with her husband Petter Stordalen, she founded the Stordalen Foundation, which supports projects and organizations actively working for a greener future; an organization which she also chairs.
Gunhild is also the Founder and Chair of the environmental organization GreenNudge, which stimulates healthier and more sustainable choices through insights from behavioral economics. She serves on the boards of several NGOs and companies, including ECOHZ Renewable Energy Foundation, The Stockholm Resilience Centre, and the Nordic Choice Hotel Group. She is a member of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement.
Gunhild is a published scientist and a renowned public speaker. Several times, she has been ranked among the 100 most influential Norwegian women by the financial magazine Kapital. She was named Woman of the Year in 2013 and 2015 for her environmental work by the Norwegian magazine KK, Environmental Hero of the Year by WWF Sweden in 2014, and appointed as Young Global Leader by World Economic Forum in 2015. In 2016, she was listed among the 150 most influential business communicators in Sweden. She is a medical doctor from the University of Oslo, and holds a PhD in pathology/orthopedic surgery.
