Daniel Kammen is the founding director of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory (RAEL) at UC Berkeley, where he is a professor in the Energy and Resources Group, the Goldman School of Public Policy, and the Department of Nuclear Engineering. In 2010 he was appointed the first Energy and Climate Partnership for the Americas (ECPA) fellow by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and served the U.S. State Department as science envoy from 2016 to 2017.
