David Jaber

Research Fellow, Spring 2015

David Jaber is a LEED accredited professional of nearly 10 years. He is the Founder of inNative and serves as Director of Optimization with Blue Star Integrative Studio. David is a former United Nations Life Cycle Impact Assessment working group member, and a former co-chair of Tribal P2 to advance environmental health in Indian Country.

In his work, David advances better decision-making by companies and communities through green building investigation, business performance metrics, greenhouse gas analysis, and zero waste audits. His more than 15 years of experience has included developing plans for greenhouse gas reductions, benchmarking facilities, analyzing supply-chains, and conducting over 100 waste reduction and energy efficiency site assessments in a wide range of food processing, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, office, and other settings. In fundraising, David has helped deliver over $3 million for regional planning, food security, tree planting, habitat protection, community development, and related tribal and rural issues.

David is currently the chair for the US Green Building Council - Northern CA Sustainable Neighborhoods committee.  He holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University.  He is a certified LEED AP (O+M).
